Germantown Friends Meeting (Quakers)
Please join us in Meeting for Worship
Sundays 10:30 – 11:30 am.
Friends, we have had to make some difficult decisions in light of recent events and in order to keep our community healthy. To support the process of physical distancing that the City of Philadelphia is asking everyone to practice for the safety of the larger community, we are holding hybrid Meeting for Worship in person on Sunday morning along with a virtual online presence until further notice. If you wish to attend in person, we ask that you be vaccinated, wear a face mask, be free of fever symptoms, and observe social distancing.
We have established a virtual option so that friends can continue to worship together at a distance. If you would like to join our virtual worship or our email, please email the Meeting Secretary and we will send you the connection information and add you to our list. Thank you all for attending our hybrid meeting: attending in person with precautions, or staying home and staying safe. We are holding everyone in the light.
Meeting for Worship is the heart of Quakerism and the center of spiritual focus and renewal for the Religious Society of Friends, as we gather together in silence to hear that still small voice of God. Our worship experience nurtures the bonds of community, helps speak to the needs of seekers, and gives rise to our testimonies and actions on peace, justice and other social concerns. We welcome all attenders, friends and neighbors. The presence of visitors enriches our meeting. We hope that the information on this website helps you to understand what we’re about, and will encourage you to come to Germantown Friends Meeting in the near future.
