Please help spread the word with friends and neighbors!
Please stop by to check out books, use the internet, enjoy a quiet space to work on homework, do personal research, or catch up on your reading. NEW PLAYGROUND AT THE KELLY SCHOOL!
Our neighborhood elementary school - the Kelly School - shares exciting news of a new playground that officially opened on November 25th, replacing the “long-neglected play area that was hazardous and unsafe for kids.” Thanks to community engagement, and successful fundraising, the children now have a fun & safe place to play, along with newly planted trees, adding to their growing green space.
Germantown Monthly Meeting has partnered with the Kelly School for years, on projects that support students and teachers. Late GMM member Penny Colgan-Davis, one of Germantown Meeting’s Kelly School champions, would surely be delighted to see the new play space! Read more and see photos here
